Saturday 9th November - Learn to Dance in a Day!

 

Strictly Simple


12:00 to 4:30


£20 per person

(Includes tea/coffee and refreshments)


Licensed bar available.


This is a general social workshop, a beginner’s day to try 3 different dances. At this event I am teaching Cha Cha, Quickstep and Ballroom Tango.  It is a popular concept in Ballroom & Latin schools called Learn to Dance in a Day and is designed to be a casual, fun afternoon for the curious to try a few steps in each dance style along with refreshments. There is also social practise time included.

Saturday 16th November - Whalebone

 

Acclaimed Shropshire guitar duo Whalebone bring their Totally Plucked show to Bishopswood Village Hall on Saturday 16th November 2019 . The concert will feature high energy acoustic music alongside haunting atmospheric tunes, played on acoustic and electric guitars, baritone guitars, bouzouki and mandolin by guitarists Steve Downs and Char Watson.

 

'We're really looking forward to playing an all-guitar duo show', said Char Watson. 'We've performed as a trio for many years and this is a chance to tour with a fresh approach and a stage full of guitars!'

 

The show includes material from their latest album 'Mirabilia', inventive interpretations of traditional music, rock classics and original material from their award winning albums. Previous concerts have been described a 'Guitars on fire!' by audiences.
