 Open Day Success!

Many thanks to the volunteers and attendees of the Bishospwood Village Hall Open Day in support of ACREs national #VillageHallsWeek.

The day was a fabulous success with around 80 people attending and enjoying the displays, demonstrations and refreshments.

The last verse of a poem by Maureen Keal sums the day up nicely:

"So give a cheer for the Village Hall,

and the volunteers that run it all.

From the friends that support it,

to the ladies that clean.

Let's all toast the health,

of this gem on the green."

Pantomime - Dates Below

Does this year end in an even number?  Is it February next month? Is there a rising sense of anticipation in Bishopswood? It’s a resounding ‘YES! ‘ to all three, so hold onto your hats and make haste to book your tickets pronto, as it’s almost time for the next pantomime!Humpty Dumpty is coming to the Village Hall for four performances only. ‘Humpty’ may be nursery rhyme to you, but it’s been transformed into a thrilling panto by John Morley, so gasp as Belladonna the wicked sorceress, thwarted in her love for the King, casts a spell on the egg, which tumbles off the wall and… - well, come see for yourself the thrills, spills and mayhem that ensues, together with not one but two horses prancing in the Hall to support the Kings Men as they try to put Humpty back together again. With spectacular scenes at Stonehenge, Snowland, and in the Cave of Cobwebs, we need you with us to cheer on our heroes to ensure that all really will end happily ever after.

Performances Thursday 22nd, Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th (Matinee and Evening shows on the Saturday)

Curtains up 2:30pm Matinee and 7:30pm Evening

Tickets: £7 adults - £3 Under Sixteens
